Summary
This section presents a taxonomy (the names of the microorganisms) to provide clinicians with a convenient means of understanding the taxonomic designations of the various bacteria and mycobacteria. It provides information on normal microbial flora and a compilation of microorganisms that constitute the normal flora encountered in various body sites. The section suggests material for further reading before concluding with a list of references.
