The carriage of Candida dubliniensis in the oral cavities of type-1 diabetic patients were investigated. Of 230 patients 81 (35%) had Candida spp. in their oral cavity; C. albicans was the most frequently isolated species (58%). No C. dubliniensis was found in the study population.

Die Candida-Besiedlung und das Vorkommen von Candida dubliniensis im Mund-Rachenraum wurde bei Typ 1-Diabetikern untersucht. Bei 81 von 230 Patienten (35%) konnte Candida spp. nachgewiesen werden; C. albicans war die am häufigsten isolierte Art (58%). Im untersuchen Patientenkollektiv konnte C. dubliniensis nicht isoliert werden.
