Abstract
The title compound, C15H17NO2, consists of a tetrahydrocarbazole skeleton with a carboxyethyl group at position 3. Molecules are linked about inversion centres by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds [N⋯O 2.908 (4) Å] to form centrosymmetric dimers.
