Abstract

The electromagnetic frequencies (both TM and TE) are determined for the simple lens waveguide, which is bounded by two symmetric circular arcs. The Ritz method is shown to be efficient and accurate. It is found that the 5:1 aspect ratio separates the modes better than the 2:1 aspect ratio. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
