  • This study demonstrates that FFR-guided PCI reduces noninvasively assessed ischemia more effectively than angiography-guided PCI.

  • Superior ischemia resolution is likely the dominant mechanism of improved outcomes with FFR in clinical outcome trials, as opposed to avoidance of inappropriate stenting and its associated adverse events.
