Ordnung durch Fluktuation: Aus einer nichtgeordneten Dispersion kristallisieren spontan hoch geordnete Nanokristall-Übergitter von identischen Zinnpartikeln. Zwei Strukturtypen wurden identifiziert: ein nichtkompakter mit einheitlich orientierten Atomebenen der Partikel und einer mit monodispersen und stärker anisotrop geordneten Partikeln (siehe elektronenmikrokopische Aufnahmen). Welche Struktur gebildet wird, hängt von den Reaktionsbedingungen ab.
