Summary

Peer-to-peer learning provides personal and professional support between colleagues. It relies on two or more people providing each other with advice, recommendations, and emotional support. It is usually quite informal but can be set up as a structured event, like the Peer Coaching Circles. This is something that you and other learners in your organization can do regularly. The ideas in this section may provide impetus to encourage you to explore more options or may enhance what is already occurring. Following a workshop on “how exceptional managers develop their staff every day,” six sales and marketing directors from an international company, spread over five time zones, met virtually with the facilitator to discuss what new behaviors they had applied with their staff members.
