Stimulate Discussion
Summary
Discussion allows participants to share expertise, get their questions answered, and hear another side of a topic. Good discussion can turn a negative attitude into a positive one. The What IF Game is designed to be a questioning tool to help presenters simulate discussion by refocusing this topic from a different perspective. It is intended to make participants think about the subject at hand in a different way than they may have ever thought of in the past. Brainstorm Debrief strategy is used to debrief any brainstorming activity. This works especially well with large groups and allows one to hear all ideas in a short period of time. Quote Me strategy is used as an opener to get participants thinking about the topic. It can be used in a classroom setting to stimulate discussion or as an assignment between sessions in a multi-session course.
