Summary

Paediatric dermatology involves care of children from birth to the start of adult life. A knowledge of child development helps with approaching children and young people and their families in an appropriate and effective manner. This chapter covers aspects of development in neonates, infants, children and adolescents. An approach to paediatric procedures, adherence, end-of-life care and transition from paediatric to adult services will also be discussed.
