Not C₅Me₅⁺ (III): Because of the evidence presented in the above Correspondence the authors are retracting the conclusions of their publication “The Stable Pentamethylcyclopentadienyl Cation” which were entirely those of the main author and imply no reflection on the part of his co-workers (whose experimental and theoretical work is valid).
