Formation and Structure of the First 7-Aza-1-phosphanorbornadiene Complex
Abstract
Either the cage compound 1 or the 7-aza-1-phospanorborna-2,5-diene complex 2 is obtained by thermal decomposition of a 2H-azaphosphirene tungsten complex in the presence of dimethylacetylene dicarboxylate depending on the solvent. If the reaction is carried out in toluene, 1 is formed, whereas 2 is the product in benzonitrile.
