Abstract

en

A simplified method for analysing the crystallographic orientation relationship of two adjacent grains by using electron diffraction Kikuchi line patterns is described. The error estimates of rotation axis and angle determined by the method, are formulated. The present method appears to be particularly useful in fast and accurate orientation determinations. Furthermore, as the method of analysis is in a general form, it is not dependent on the crystal system in question.
