Zwei sind besser als eines: Eine auf einem Lösungsmittelgemisch basierte Methode zur Flüssigexfoliation von MoS2-, WS2- und BN-Nanoblättchen wurde entwickelt. Während EtOH und H2O jeweils schlechte Lösungsmittel für diesen Prozess sind, ergeben EtOH/H2O-Mischungen geeigneter Zusammensetzung (voraussagbar anhand der Hansen-Löslichkeitsparameter) eine effiziente Exfoliation (siehe Bild) unter Bildung hochstabiler Suspensionen.
