Ein Bruch mit Folgen: Der CoII-Komplex eines Porphyrinliganden mit ortho-Amidophenyl-Substituent ergibt bei Einwirkung von O2 und einer koordinierenden Base einen helicalen CoIII-Komplex mit einem acyclischen Pentapyrrolliganden (siehe Bild: Co rosa, N blau, O rot, C grau). Die Enantiomere des Komplexes wurden getrennt und charakterisiert, und es wurde gezeigt, dass chirale Basen bevorzugt die (M)-helicale Form des Komplexes liefern.
