1 NEW TOOLKIT AIMS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF THROMBOSIS DATA COLLECTED IN COVID-19 CLINICAL TRIALS

2 ISTH COLLABORATES TO DEVELOP NEW CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES FOR VWD
The ISTH has teamed up with the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) to create new international guidelines for the diagnosis and management of von Willebrand disease. 3 ISTH PUBLISHES VTE COMMON DATA ELEMENTS TO AID IN SHARING GLOBAL RESEARCH DATA

5 EXPLORE THE NEW ISTH TRAIN-THE-TRAINER TOOLKIT FOR HEMOPHILIA A
To support health care team’s strategies to integrate new therapies for patients with hemophilia A, the ISTH has developed an educational toolkit for hemophilia treatment centers (HTCs). This toolkit provides scientific and clinical education to healthcare professionals on new and novel treatments for hemophilia A, including tools for learners to educate others and implement practice changes at HTCs.

6 LISTEN AND WATCH: ISTH TTP GUIDELINES PODCASTS AND WEBINARS OFFER INSIGHT

7 ETHA ELECTS INGRID PABINGER FASCHING AS CHAIR
The European Thrombosis and Haemostasis Alliance (ETHA) has elected Prof. Ingrid Pabinger-Fasching, M.D., as the new chair of the Alliance for a term of two years. Learn more at etha.eu.
8 REVIEW THE ISTH OPEN ACCESS COVID-19 RESOURCE PAGE
During a time of crisis, the ISTH believes that open access and open science are critical to ensuring that healthcare providers have the latest information and that patients receive the best care possible.
To address this urgent need, the ISTH is providing open access to its COVID-19 resource page via the ISTH Academy as well as making all content from the ISTH Academy freely accessible. To access all ISTH Academy content, simply visit academy.isth.org and sign in with your ISTH log-in or create a free ISTH Academy account to get started.
On the ISTH Academy, you can access the latest education and resources from experts in the field around the world. In addition to courses on topics like venous thrombosis and cancer-associated thrombosis, you can access past meeting presentations, posters, webinars and more.
Notably with this change, the ISTH Academy now offers unlimited access to articles from the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) and Research and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis (RPTH). The editors of JTH and RPTH have also made changes for authors and reviewers in response to COVID-19.

9 BEGIN THE UPDATED CANCER-ASSOCIATED THROMBOSIS ONLINE COURSE
Visit academy.isth.org to view and begin the Updated course from the ISTH on cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT). This course is designed to bring an overview on how to prevent and treat CAT to hematologists and health-care professionals who care for patients with cancer around the world. This free course is open to anyone. If you’re not a member, simply sign up for a free ISTH Academy membership to participate. Users will earn two hours of CME upon completion.
