Theoretical investigations of the influence of grain size on the mobility, lifetime, and hence the performance of the polycrystalline semiconductor-insulator-semiconductor (SIS) solar cell are made. The calculations reasonably represent the experimentally observed variations of solar cell parameters with grain size.

Der Einfluß der Korngröße auf Beweglichkeit, Lebensdauer und damit den Kenngrößen von polykristallinen Halbleiter-Isolator-Halbleiter(SIS)-Solarzellen wird theoretisch untersucht. Die Rechnungen geben in vernünftiger Weise die experimentell gefundenen Änderungen der Parameter der Solarzelle mit der Korngröße wieder.
