Graphical Abstract

Bingyao Deng and co-workers prepared biodegradable organic-inorganic polymer hybrids based on poly(ε-caprolactone) and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane via open-ring polymerization. Both segments crystallized into two well-separated phases. Hybrids with high polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane content formed snowflake-shaped crystals, while those with low polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane content formed classic spherulites.
