Weniger ist mehr: Voltammetrische Messungen in partieller oder vollständiger Abwesenheit von Zusatzelektrolyt können mehr kinetische und mechanistische Informationen liefern als Voltammetrie mit Elektrolytzusatz. So lässt sich zeigen, dass die Komproportionierung von Anthrachinon und des Anthrachinon-Dianions in Acetonitril diffusionskontrolliert abläuft – ein Befund, den herkömmliche Voltammetrie nicht aufzudecken vermag.
