Ein rationaler Ansatz wurde zum Aufbau von Hybridverbindungen aus metallorganischen Komplexen und Polyoxometallaten (POMs) entwickelt. Die POM-Cluster sind mit den Komplexeinheiten über π-konjugierte Brücken verknüpft. Die Synthesestrategie – Funktionalisierung der POMs mit iodierten Gruppen, Verankerung des Terpyridin-Liganden, Koordination des Metalls – ist im Schema gezeigt.
