Das Gerüst steht: Die Grundstruktur von Azadirachtin (1) wurde enantioselektiv aufgebaut: Die Verbindungen 2 ac wurden durch Kaskadenreaktionen erhalten, die auf intramolekularen Radikaladditionen und säurevermittelten Redoxreaktionen beruhen. Die Zielverbindung erscheint damit zum Greifen nah.
