Streulicht ist eine mögliche Ursache für die Störung der von Wang und Mitarbeitern beschriebenen Elektrolumineszenzspektren für ITO/NPB/(mdppy)BF/LiF/Al (siehe Bild, Kurve a). Chou et al. stellten fest, dass vier Hauptbanden, die der Emission der Quecksilberdampflampe zugeordnet werden können, mit den beschriebenen Signalen (Kurve b) überlappen.
