Cover photograph: Genome structure of Flaviviridae viruses. The family Flaviviridae comprises four genera, Flavivirus, Pestivirus, Pegivirus, and Hepacivirus. Flaviviridae viruses commonly possess a single-stranded positive-sense RNA encoding 2–4 structural proteins and 7-8 nonstructural proteins. Unlike Hepacivirus and Pegivirus, the Flavivirus and Pestivirus genomes encode secretory glycoproteins called NS1 and Erns, respectively. Microbiol Immunol: 63:401–406. Article link here.
