| Figure 3 Plotted with solid lines are three samples of the distribution we designed to roughly simulate the temporal profile of a SASE pulse. Plotted with dashed lines are corresponding blurred and randomly shifted versions of each of the pulses that loosely represent a measurement of the pulse with an XTCAV. The average temporal width of the underlying distribution is 500 fs. The scales of the blurring and random shifts are both 50 fs. |
