ChemInform Abstract

A new solid supported catalyst is used in Suzuki reaction. The solid catalyst is prepared by preassembly of the ligand around the metal followed by polymerization (molecular imprinting). In this way the palladium complex is incorporated into the polymer matrix in its square-planar geometry [Pd(II)]. The new catalyst is clearly superior to those prepared from traditional polymeric ligands (higher yields).
