ChemInform Abstract

Base mediated condensation of N-chloromethylcarbamoyl chlorides (I) with benzimidazole-2-thiols or triazolethiols provides access to the title thiatriazafluorenone [cf. (III), (V)] and thiatetraazaindenone derivatives (VII), respectively. Some of the new compounds show fungicidal, herbicidal, and insecticidal activity.
