ChemInform Abstract

The Cu(I)-catalyzed asymmetric cyclopropanation of styrenes with ethyl diazoacetate is investigated in the presence of a atropisomeric novel bipyridyl ligand. The enantioselectivity depends on the electronic nature of the para-substituents and follows a linear free energy relationship.
