ChemInform Abstract

Novel Cu(I) and Fe(II) complexes, generated in situ from metal salt and ligand, are found to be efficient catalysts for intramolecular atom transfer radical addition reactions. Catalytic activities of these catalysts are higher than those of established systems like CuCl/bipy. Combination of CuCl/PDT with reducing agent Fe(0) is mentioned to be also a highly efficient system (not shown, optimized conditions presented).
