Hydrazinolysis of N-aryl-N-phenylaminophthalimides (III), obtained by Cu(O-Ac)2 mediated phenylation of N-arylaminophthalimides (I) with BiPh3, provides the title hydrazines (IV) (6 examples) in good yields.
