ChemInform Abstract
The synthesis of dioxino- and dioxepinoquinolines (VI) and (XIIIa) with restrained conformation of the piperidine ring is described. The approach can be successfully applied to the synthesis of the 1-sulfur analogue (XIIIb) but fails for the preparation of the sulfur analogue of (VI).
