ChemInform Abstract
Nitrogen analogues of bifuranylidenediones and related pyran derivatives are prepared based on aminolysis. Substituent effects due to the presence of twisted or coplanar aryl moieties in the title compounds are investigated by UV-VIS spectroscopy.
