ChemInform Abstract
A series of heterocyclic analogues of 1,4-distyrylbenzene such as (III) and (VIII) (8 examples) are synthesized and tested for their luminescence parameters. The title compounds show an increased solubility when compared with analogues not containing methyl groups in the central benzene ring.
