ChemInform Abstract

A variety of substituted pyridine [cf. (IV), (XII)], pyrimidine [cf. (VI), (IX)], and azole derivatives [cf. (VII)] are synthesized by reactions of β-enaminonitriles with appropriate nucleophilic reagents and some of the prepared compounds are evaluated for their antibacterial activity.
