ChemInform Abstract

Two isomers of each α-P4S2SeX2 (III and VI) and α-P4SSe2I2 (IV and V) are identified by 31P NMR in mixtures obtained from the thermal reaction of PX3 with (I). Systematic changes in chemical shifts and coupling constants with electronegativity of the ligand by exocyclic substitution and with alteration of the molecular geometry by replacement of sulfur by selenium are reported.
