ChemInform Abstract

New chiral ferrocenyl ligands (I) with two phosphane substituents give good to excellent enantioselectivities in the reduction of β-dicarbonyl compounds and various functionalized C=C double bonds. Two opposite configurations of the reduced products are obtained by change of the substituent in the benzylic position of the ligand (I).
