ChemInform Abstract
The absorption spectra of title compounds, e. g. (II), synthesized from cyclopentadione (I), are reported. Their photochemical valence isomerization to the corresponding quadricyclanes (III) and the thermal reversion isomerization using PMMA solid films are investigated. Title compounds exhibit an efficient fatigue resistance.
