ChemInform Abstract

A new bifunctional hexadentate ligand B6SS (I) is synthesized. The protonation constants are calculated on the basis of potentiometric pH measurements and compared with the known ligand 6SS (II). The stability constants of the In(III) and Ga(III) complexes of (I) and (II) reveal little influence of the side arm on complexation.
