ChemInform Abstract

The catalyst PBN, crosslinked via positions 1-4, is found to be the most efficient agent reported so far for the asymmetric alkylation of aldehydes with ZnEt2. Both yields and enantioselectivities of the products are excellent. The catalyst can be easily recovered and this part shows the same enantioselectivity as the original polymer.
