ChemInform Abstract
The title malonic aldehydes (II) are obtained for the first time by simple hydrolysis of the furans (I). They undergo a cyclocondensation reaction with aminotetrazole (III) to afford the tetrazolopyrimidines (IV) which are in equilibrium with their isomeric open-chain azides (V). The expected [1 + 4] cycloaddition products are not observed under the reaction conditions used.
