ChemInform Abstract

From the acetone extract of the culture broth of the title microorganism the novel macrolides (Ia) and (Ib) named YM-32890 A and B, resp., are isolated. (Ib) does not show antimicrobial activity. (Ia) inhibits the growth of staphylococci including a macrolide-resistant strain.
