ChemInform Abstract
The hitherto not described title reaction provides the syn-(2 + 2) cycloadduct (III) as the major product and the endo-(4 + 4) cyclodimer (IV) as well as the cage cyclodimer (V) as side products. The effect of the temperature on the photoreaction is studied and the mechanism is elucidated.
