ChemInform Abstract
Two different mesostructured thiogermanates are prepared under hydrothermal conditions as a function of pH, temperature, and reaction time using amorphous germanium sulfide as inorganic source and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as organic template. As revealed from the powder XRD data, both samples have a lamellar structure which is more ordered for samples prepared at high pH, and more disordered for those obtained at low pH. The latter exhibit a higher degree of condensation than the high-pH product and a lower molar mass.
