ChemInform Abstract
A mild, safe and efficient procedure for the ionic hydrogenation of acylferrocenes using NaBH4/ZnCl2 as a one-pot reducing system is given. The presented reagent system is compatible with a variety of normally reducible functional groups (cf. case c and d).
