ChemInform Abstract

Two new series of 6-(pyrazolyl)pyrazolopyrimidinones (cf. (IV); 18 examples) and -pyrimidines (cf. (VI); 6 examples) are synthesized and their in vitro benzodiazepine receptor affinity is determined. A plausible mechanistic pathway to the target compounds and several structure-affinity relationships are given.
