ChemInform Abstract

Nucleophilic displacement of homochiral ditosylates (II) by phosphine- borane anions followed by a new developed decomplexation of the bisphosphine-boranes (III) provides a highly practical method for the synthesis of homochiral bisphosphines (IV), potentially useful as ligands for transition metal based catalysis.
