ChemInform Abstract

The crystal structure of the new Pd-complex K2(Pd(NO2)2Cl2) (I) which is prepared from aqueous solutions of equimolar amounts of the known complexes K2(Pd(NO2)4) (II) and K2PdCl4 (III), is established by X-ray methods (space group C2/m; Z = 2) and the geometric characteristics of its complex anion are compared to the analogous parameters of the anions of (II) and (III). The structure of compound (I) consists of centrosymmetric complex Pd-anions with square-planar coordination of the Pd-atoms, and K+-cations.
