ChemInform Abstract

The title ultraphosphates Na3GaP8O23 and Na3AlP8O23 are formed by heating mixtures of (NH4)2HPO4, NaH2PO4, H3PO4 and Ga2O3 or Al(NO3)3, resp., at 385 °C. Single crystal X-ray studies indicate that both the phosphates are isostructural to Na3FeP8O23.
