ChemInform Abstract

The tellurolate anion, generated in situ from dimethyl ditelluride (I), reacts with phenyl bromide (II) to give diphenyl ditelluride (III) upon work-up. Reaction of (III) with acetylene (IV) yields phenyl vinyl telluride (V).
