The structures of (IV)-(VI), including syn,anti isomerism are deduced from 1H, 13C NMR and mass spectra and confirmed by X-ray analyses of ( IV) and (V), both crystallizing in P21/n with Z = 4. In the cyclic voltammograms separate waves indicate that the ferrocene units are oxidized at different potentials with depend on the stereochemistry. The study opens a general access to stereochemically well-defined oligonuclear metallocenes in which the neighboring sandwich units include angles of about 88 and 57 ° depending on the arangement, syn,syn or syn,anti.
