Abstract

The reaction of the enamines (II), (V), or (VIII) with the dihydrobenzothiazinone S,S-dioxides (I) gives the heterocycles (III) exclusively, the diastereomeric mixtures (VI) + (VII), or the configurationally undetermined heterocycles (IX), respectively.

ChemInform Abstract

The reaction of the enamines (II), (V), or (VIII) with the dihydrobenzothiazinone S,S-dioxides (I) gives the heterocycles (III) exclusively, the diastereomeric mixtures (VI) + (VII), or the configurationally undetermined heterocycles (IX), respectively. The treatment of these adducts with acid leads to deaminated pyrano-benzothiazines as exemplified in the scheme for (III) (→ (IV)).
