ChemInform Abstract

The benzenesulfonyl chlorides (I) are nitrated and subsequently coupled with 5-fluorouracil (IV) to give the 1-benzenesulfonyluracils (V) which have antineoplastic, antimutagenic, and antibacterial activity.
